The disabled have rights but so do the rest of us
About this
Clifford Longley Article from the Daily Telegraph attacking the concept of equality behind the Civil Rights (disabled persons) Bill, and alleging that by adopting the concept of discrimination against disabled people, its supporters guarantee nothing more than expensive litigation and a loss of sympathy for disabled people by the general public. This loss of sympathy and charity towards disabled people is blamed for the Nazi genocide of disabled people during World War II.
In the writer's opinion, "the only real remedy for a disability is a complete cure." Disabled people would be better off gratefully nurturing the sympathy and charity they already receive, rather than campaigning for "rights" and other "politically correct" falsehoods
